  • The Associate Pastor is a vital post, created in response to the exciting opportunities presented by our thriving and expanding church. This role will enhance the leadership capability and capacity within the existing Senior Leadership Team. Working closely with the Rector, the Associate Pastor will be passionate about turning vision into reality through the oversight of multiple core ministries and new strategic initiatives.

  • The Assistant Children’s Pastor is responsible, along with the Children’s Pastor, for the growth and development of the Aldates Kids Ministry (ages 0-11) at St Aldates. Our children’s work is well-established so we are now looking for someone who can help build on these foundations by bringing fresh vision and develop exciting learning plans to this age group.

  • We are looking for a hands-on and multi skilled person, with a practical servant heart and a desire to serve God and witness of their faith amongst international students and visiting academics.

  • The Hospitality Facilities Assistant focus in providing support the warden on the practical duties related to the well-functioning of Commonwealth House. For this we are looking for a very practical and hands-on multi skilled person, able to attend to emerging needs as well as day to day tasks. Changing bulbs, checking stock,  preparing breakfast, checking rooms are just some examples.

Volunteering Opportunities

  • Are you a violinist, cellists or electric guitarist? The Worship team are on the lookout for worshippers with these particular skills! Please email lauren.harris@staldates.org.uk if you are interested.

  • We are in need of some friendly people who have some spare time to cover Reception at the church offices during working hours (9am-5pm). We currently have 2 out of 5 days weeks covered, but are keen to get others involved.

  • We are in need of people to operate cameras across all services. Previous experience is not essential, but some basic knowledge of camera gear and filming would be beneficial. Flexible hours on Sunday throughout the month depending on availability.

  • We are currently looking for leaders on a Sunday morning to help inspire and disciple our younger youth group (Years 7-9). If you have experience leading young people, or you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch with us at youth@staldates.org.uk

  • If you love serving others and have an eye for detail we would love to hear from you. Our hospitality team is currently expanding and looking to help across multiple Sunday and mid-week events.
