Joining a team is a great way to get involved in the life of the church with opportunities to serve Sundays and throughout the week! See below current opportunities below and get in touch!

 
 

Welcome Team

Our Sunday Welcome Team takes the lead on hosting our congregation to our services, greeting newcomers and helping people to get connected. We meet before the service for prayer and briefing.

Students

We want to see every undergrad loving Jesus and committed to live for him at uni and beyond. Join the team to serve at student events (Balls, Freshers, Leavers, and Student Night on Thursdays)

Worship

Worship is central to everything we do at St Aldates. We are always on the look for more worship leaders, singers, and musicians. If you have experience in any of these areas, we would love to hear from you!

Production

Our production volunteers help run the Sunday audio and visuals across all services as well as the live broadcast at the 10.30am. Training provided for camera operators, house and stream visuals, and sound engineers.

Kids

God’s Kingdom belongs to the children! (Mark 10:14) If you love serving the children and have a heart to raise the next generation we would love to hear from you!

Photography

If you are are passionate about photography and would like to use your skills to serve the church, we would love to have you on board!

Hospitality

Love serving people in practical ways such as serving drinks, having a chat, or making everyone feel at home? We would love to hear from you. There are many opportunities to serve both on Sundays and during the week.

Youth

We are committed to the discipleship of the next generation, so If you have a heart for youth and want to have lots of fun while serving, this is the team for you!

If you are struggling to find a team, or have any other skills that you could contribute with, please get in touch. We also have a list of current areas in particular need of volunteers below, so make sure to take a look and get in touch if you would like to get involved. We can’t wait to meet you and help you get connected at St Aldates!

  • If you have a heart for teaching kids (specifically 0-11s) about Jesus and want to have lots of fun while serving, we are in need of leaders for our growing kids team on Sundays! Get in touch with hannah.webster@staldates.org.uk for more information.

  • We are in need of people to operate cameras across all services. Previous experience is not essential, but some basic knowledge of camera gear and filming would be beneficial. Flexible hours on Sunday throughout the month depending on availability.

  • If you love serving others and have an eye for detail we would love to hear from you. We need people to help on Sundays and mid-week events. Typical roles might be serving food at Alpha or helping with our refreshments on a Sunday. If this is something you would like to get involved with, please get in touch with Ash at ash.sanders@staldates.org.uk.

  • If you love the kitchen then we’d love to hear from you. Food is such an important way of creating community and underpins many of our ministries. So if you can cook for 50 or 150, then do let Ash know at ash.sanders@staldates.org.uk.

  • Could you be the friendly, welcoming face greeting people as they come into the Church Centre? We need people to cover Reception during working hours (9am-5pm). Could you commit to covering one day per week? If so, do get in touch by contacting office@staldates.org.uk
