HOPE: Renewed – Online Women's Conference
This conference is focusing on what we can do and how to live life to the full in the midst of our longing and waiting.
Here are our speakers:
Revd. Sophie Cowan
Making it Home: a commitment to the Kingdom
Sophie finished her studies at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford last summer and is now a curate in the Peterbrough Diocese. She is longing - and still waiting - to see housing and home for people in deprived areas. She will kick off the conference and lay a theological foundation for reason for Hope and God's calling to us.
Sarah Lang - The Rhythm of Hope
Sarah is a paediatric nurse working in Oxford. She and her husband waited nearly twenty years for a child and had no assurance this longing would be realised. Sarah will be sharing with us what she and her husband did during their time of waiting and longing and how they tried to keep hope alive, whilst also trying to keep living life fully in the waiting.
In depts interviews:
Laura Collingridge will lead a conversation about community life and friendship.
Lena Harris will interview Laura Ogi, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Oxfordshire County Council
Laura has a particular insight in the social needs in this county, not least children's need for a safe place. We will have a conversation about the importance of community, reconciliation and relationships.
There will also be other voices and experiences and a lot of time for worship, conversations and prayer!
