What is the School of Ministry?

This one-year programme, open to 18-25 year olds, is an opportunity to spend a year growing in discipleship through living in community, theological study, mentoring, service, ministry, mission and leadership opportunities.

We're looking for people with a love for God, a desire to know Jesus more and a servant heart; if that's you then we'd love to hear from you.

Testimonials

  • "I am so grateful for this experience which so wonderfully combines a breadth of theological teaching with practical ministry experience and personal discipleship. It was tough at times, physically demanding and emotionally exhausting – but totally and completely worth it. Living with the other interns was a life-changing experience; as we spent our year praying together, encouraging each other and pushing one another to be more like Jesus. I left the internship with a renewed heart for prayer and intercession and well-equipped for a job in children’s ministry. If you’re looking for a year that will shape you, change you and make you more like Jesus then definitely consider the School of Ministry at St Aldates – it will equip you for a lifetime of putting God at the centre."

  • "I came to the School of Ministry after experiencing deep anxiety as a student and having many assumptions undermined. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect and was deeply unsure of myself. In hindsight I shouldn’t have worried! The year was fantastic and provided a challenging but safe environment to explore deep personal issues as well as learn more about theology, apologetics and, most importantly, experience greater intimacy with Jesus. So I urge those of you sitting on the fence about applying to pray and seriously consider it – this year provides the perfect opportunity to ask the difficult questions, explore the foundations of your faith and grow closer to Jesus."

    Nathan Jones, ACT Intern, 2014–15
