Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care
At St Aldates, we strongly underline the importance of spiritual and emotional wholeness as a goal for all members of our church to embrace.
If you require pastoral support...
The first level of support that you should consider accessing comes from your leaders/fellow members of your St Aldates Small Group.
You can also, of course, always email a member of St Aldates’ clergy or the leadership team directly if you would like to request a one-off pastoral meeting.
At times, you may want to request additional pastoral support. St Aldates can offer three further routes:
1. Pastoral Care Team: a meeting/s with a member of our Pastoral Care Team who will listen and pray for you. We can offer a maximum of 3-4 meetings of this kind.
2. Signposting to relevant Outside Professional/s. If you are struggling with an issue requiring specialized support or professional expertise, we can provide you with details of outside counselors or agencies. Professionals working privately will require payment. We cannot be responsible for the quality of care provided by such individuals and services.
3. Extended Prayer Ministry: a limited number of sessions with a member of our Prayer Ministry Team who can offer healing prayer for deeper issues.
To help us direct you to the most appropriate source of support, please complete and the form below and click 'send'.
Lena Harris, our Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator, will then make an assessment or invite you to an assessment meeting with herself and/or another member of the Pastoral Care Team.
Following this, she will direct you, if appropriate, to one of the three routes above.
Please note that this pastoral support is available only for regular members of St Aldates Church.
